 The 17th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Business and Behavioral Sciences will be held at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada from February 18 to 21, 2010. The theme of the Meeting is Economic Meltdown and Business Education. Proposals for paper presentation and session chairs are invited from all areas of Business and Behavioral Sciences in the Tracks listed below.  The deadline for submission of proposals is November 10, 2009.  Multiple papers by same authors will be scheduled for presentation on consecutive days. A Job Market and a Book Exhibit will also be organized during the conference.

 Information about ASBBS including its publications is available at http://www.asbbs.org. Our meetings emphasize interaction and collegiality in cordial environment.  Although paper proposals are accepted on their merits, we welcome empirical papers with policy implications.  All papers and abstracts are reviewed by appropriate track chairs, program chair and conference chair. Accepted papers are published in the Conference Proceedings if guidelines are met. The deadline for Proceedings submission is December 10, 2009. Submit your Proceedings article to jzhu@csusb.edu with a copy to mondal@asbbs.org . Only electronic submissions are accepted.  ASBBS also publishes a peer-reviewed e-journal and three refereed journals titled Journal of Business and Behavioral Sciences (JBBS), Journal of Business and Accounting and Journal of Business and Educational Leadership. All articles presented at the 17th Annual Conference will qualify for review and publication in the refereed journals. Paper/Abstract Submission: To submit a proposal, provide a complete paper or an abstract with at least 250 words with the title of the paper, name(s), addresses, telephone numbers and email address to an appropriate Track Chair with a copy to the Conference Chair. All proposals will be reviewed. TheBest Paper” of each track will be recognized in the Conference Proceedings and Annual Banquet. The Best Papers may be published in the ASBBS E-Journal.

Registration and Hotel Room Reservation: Authors of accepted papers or paper proposals will be required to register by December 10, 2009.  The registration fee for each participant is $250 if paid by December 10, 2009 and $300 thereafter. The registration fee for undergraduate students and retired faculty members will be $200.00. If accepted, there will be a Second Paper Fee of $150.00 for an additional paper to be presented by the same author. No individual author may submit more than two paper proposals. The registration fee includes one Conference Proceedings, one refereed journal, admission to all conference sessions and activities, continental breakfasts for two days, banquet on Saturday evening and receptions.  A block of hotel rooms will be available at a special rate of $45 per night for February 17, 18, 21 and at a rate of $80 for February 19 and 20. Thematic Paper and Keynote Speaker Competition:  Each year ASBBS selects one of its own as the Keynote Speaker for the Annual Banquet.  Proposals are invited on the conference theme Economic Meltdown and Business Education. Submit your complete paper to Professor William Kehoe, Chair, Thematic Paper Competition Committee at wjk@virginia.edu  by the deadline of November 10, 2009. The author of the best paper will be selected as the Keynote Speaker of the 17th Annual Banquet of ASBBS with a special recognition.
